How to Lock the 4G Network on Samsung Phones

How to Lock the 4G Network on Samsung Phones - Having an unstable network is quite annoying. In addition to inhibiting access to the internet, changing networks can make the device's battery run out quickly. But fortunately, you are using an Android device, you can lock the network as desired.

For devices with an old operating system, you can even set it through the Settings page, then enter the Cellular Network menu.

And on some new devices, such as devices made by ASUS or Xiaomi, you only need to use the dial code *#*#4636#*#* to display device info, to lock the network to the expected network.

But this is very different from Samsung devices. Even though on older devices you can use the same method, but for new devices you cannot use dial codes to lock the network. Of course, this mode is disabled by Samsung, so you need to use third-party applications to do it.

How to Lock the 4G Network on Samsung Phones

In more detail, you can follow the review of How to Lock 4G Networks on the following Samsung phones.

How to Lock the 4G Network on Samsung Phones

  • First, you can first download the application to lock the network from a third party through the Google Play Store
  • In this case, I use a free application called Force LTE Only
  • If it has been successfully installed, open the application, then select Skip in the lower left corner and then select the I ALREADY READ option on the pop up info for new users
  • Next, select the LTE | 3G | 2G SETTINGS button in the center of the screen
  • If you have entered the Device Info page, change the Preferred Network Type Set by tapping the option below
  • Next, if there are many options, choose LTE Only to lock on the 4G network
  • Wait a moment, the device will automatically lock on the 4G network

Please note, this application can only be used for Samsung devices that support 4G networks. So don't try to lock the 4G network on devices that don't support it.

In addition, this setting will also be lost when the Samsung phone that you are using is off or restarted. So, you need to set it back when the phone has come back to life when you want to lock on the 4G network again.

Whereas to restore the network on the Samsung device that you use to the initial settings, you can do so by following the method previously described or by restarting the device. Hopefully useful and good luck.
